In this episode, I'm joined by Reiki Master Teacher Marnie Vincolisi for a deep dive into how Reiki not only heals physical ailments but can also open your psychic senses and expand your consciousness.
My Reiki journey began in 2008 and it was so much more than I imagined it would be.
Reiki has been around for thousands of years - some say the beginning of "time" on this planet. The Reiki popularly practiced today originated with Dr. Miao Usui. He was deeply interested in healing modalities and psychic abilities; he traveled widely to study and develop mastery. While studying at a Buddhist monastery, Usui experienced a profound awakening in which he, as he described, felt a lightening bold entering his crown chakra rendering him unconscious. When he awoke, a high frequency spiritual energy filled him with new awareness - a state of enlightenment. He was so excited he ran down the mountain where he had been fasting and meditating to share this discovery, but tripped and stubbed his toe. He instinctively placed his hands on his toe that was screaming with pain and as he did healing energy flowed from his hands. The pain resolved. He was healed.
He now understood his life purpose: To heal and train others to be healers.
Usui moved to Tokyo and established a healing society and clinic. He developed the practices and techniques for Reiki that are taught by Reiki Masters across the globe today:

In this episode I mention that Reiki is not just a healing modality, it's a pathway. It's a way of life. Not only does channeling Reiki bring balance and wholeness to the channel (raising your vibrational set point!), there are five precepts those attuned to Reiki are admonished to follow:

> I will do my work honestly with integrity
