Shadow Seeker Featuring Karolina Bebak

Shadow Seeker Featuring Karolina Bebak

We create consciously and unconsciously. If life is confusing, frustrating or even off the rails, it may be time for some shadow work. In this episode we get real about what shadow work is, how to do it, and how it empowers what’s possible for you. Tune in to learn about a simple tool that can get your practice started.

The “shadow self” is a concept popularized by Carl Jung. He said: “Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.”

The shadow is the parts of yourself that you reject and shutter away. You then become blind to those parts because you don’t want to see them. You don’t want to deal with them. You just want to comply with the norms or behaviors you’ve interpreted as “good” or honestly, simply survive.

The shadow grows every time you deny your own validity or repress a part of yourself, of your true nature.

Shadow work entails ways we see our whole selves – ways we become aware and acknowledge what’s hidden, potentially woundings that need healing. If we can’t see it, we can’t heal it. And once we get that healing work underway, we can become an integrated whole. More authentic. More powerful.

It can be brutal but it’s also deeply empowering.

Here’s the thing: The shadow self participates in what we create. If what you’re creating for yourself is confusing, check out what’s unresolved in your shadow self. Because we create consciously and unconsciously.

If we do dedicate ourselves to this work, if we do find a practice that helps us heal and integrate all parts of our wonderful selves, what happens?

  • It can open way for powerful personal awakening.

  • It can lead to greater authenticity which impacts how we show up, how we love, how we lead our day to day lives

  • It can help us define healthy boundaries and disrupt self-destructive patterns

  • All of that that certainly makes way for greater wellbeing and even physical vitality, and

  • It’s a way to honor yourself, to be self-compassionate. And you know, you fucking deserve that.
